The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it is alarmed with regard to the high variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior range sassa status check of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The support point created for intervention ordeals a large inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to allow the servicing of all prospects and boost usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
